Hence, technology is taking bigger places in business industry too. Keeping up with emerging markets for telecommunications and information technologies, UMG started its subsidiary in ICT field by 2015.

Under ICT division, UMG Idealab Co., Ltd was introduced in 2016 with the ambitions to encourage the development of technology based businesses and entrepreneurships within Asia. Started from 2017, “Start-up Idea Competition and Incubation” was hold by IdeaLab and we have planned to host this event annually. UMG Idealab will support selected teams with mentorship, legal advice, brand consulting, as well as offer seed funding up to 500 lakhs in return for up to 20% share for promising tech startup team. They will also get 3 month intensive nurturing program with various topic relevant to the industry, access to UMG expert network, and other various benefit.

Within one year journey, we have proudly initiated to start nine technology based businesses including mydoctor.com.mm which is a health care app, and an online learning app course.com.mm. Openmind also collaborate with UMG Idealab Incubator to ensure each startup will have strong and effective Branding Strategy, reflected in many aspect including Logo, tagline, marketing collateral, up to UI/UX design.

In future, we will always be looking forward to improve in technology which could directly or indirectly satisfy the needs of our daily lifestyles and contribute to the development of the country.
